Our team will deliver the skip to your specified location on the agreed-upon date and time. Please ensure that someone is available to provide access to the skip site during the delivery window.
Collection Procedures
Once your project is complete, contact us to arrange for the collection of the skip. We require at least 48 hours notice for collection to ensure availability.
Usage Guidelines
Permitted and Prohibited Items
Only non-hazardous waste items are permitted in our skips. Prohibited items include:
- Chemicals and hazardous substances
- Electrical appliances
- Paints and solvents
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Medicines and medical waste
Any prohibited items found in the skip must be removed immediately. Failure to comply may result in additional charges or legal action.
Weight Limits and Overages
Each skip comes with a maximum weight limit. Exceeding this limit will incur extra fees. It is your responsibility to ensure that the waste does not exceed the specified weight. We recommend consulting with our team if you anticipate needing additional capacity.
Liability and Insurance
Damage and Loss
While we take utmost care in handling our skips, Chigwell Skip Hire is not liable for any damage caused to your property during delivery or collection, provided that due care is exercised. In the rare event of damage, please inform us immediately so we can address the issue promptly.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that the skip is placed in a suitable location that does not obstruct public paths, utilities, or roadways. Failure to secure the necessary permissions or permits for skip placement is your responsibility.
